One of my favorite little touches when nuts are a part of desserts is to over toast them slightly. You do not want them to burn but to be dark brown. They end up having a more intense flavor. When you coat them with caramelized sugar, it makes them taste even better!
Keep in mind that these aren't super sweet biscotti, which is why I've paired it with a sweet Lemon Curd for a balanced dessert.
