Is there anything better than a delicious toasted sandwich? In this video, Serious Eats shows you how to make a classic (and extra buttery) Monte Cristo sandwich. This lunchtime favorite starts by making the ham and cheese sandwich with mayo and mustard coated on each slice of bread. Next, coat the sandwich in a special egg mixture before toasting it in a buttered pan over the stove. Once golden brown and crispy, cut the sandwich in half and coat with powdered sugar.
