Description

This pie, from cookbook author Erin Jeanne McDowell, is made much like pumpkin pie, but with mashed sweet potatoes for a nuanced flavor. Top it with Swiss Meringue and brulee it with a baker's torch, if you want the pie to be reminiscent of the classic yams and marshmallow dish served at Thanksgiving. Or for a simpler option, top it with freshly whipped cream (as pictured here). You can't go wrong either way!
