Lila Smethurst, 13, learned how to bake from her mother and grandmother, but she became a real pro by watching Kids Baking Championship. “I've seen each season multiple times,” she says. Landing a spot on the show was a dream come true, and the San Antonio teen was especially excited to meet judge Duff Goldman: “I'm a superfan!” she says. For the science fair–themed final challenge, Lila wowed Duff with her volcano-shaped chocolate cake with Nutella pastry cream and salted caramel buttercream.
